Diary. In two volumes (set of 2 books)

Yuri Markovich Nagibin (1920-1994) — a famous Russian Soviet prose writer, journalist, screenwriter. He studied at a medical institute, transferred to the screenwriting department of VGIK, which he did not complete — the war began. After being wounded, he worked as a war correspondent, and in 1943 he published his first collection of stories. Many films have been made based on his scripts, including «The Chairman», «The Red Tent», «Gardemarines, Forward!». In the series «Literary Monuments of Russian Life», we present a unique work by Yuri Nagibin not only in the context of time but also in the context of the entire oeuvre of the writer — «Diary» in two volumes. These memories are not easy to read, especially emotionally, but it is impossible to tear yourself away — the extreme sincerity of Yuri Markovich is captivating, primarily in relation to himself.
The first volume includes the author's preface to the «Diary» and diary entries from 1942 to 1975.
The second volume includes diary entries from 1976 to 1986.
