Beloved reader, Archbishop of Simferopol and Crimea Luka (Voyno-Yasenetsky) is known to every Orthodox person. Before taking monastic vows, he was a famous surgeon and scientist of international renown, continuing to perform surgeries while already being the Bishop of Tashkent. During World War II, his work as a scientist and surgeon saved countless lives. He spent several years in a camp, where he was sent for being an Orthodox archbishop. We want to introduce you to his spiritual conversations, written in a simple and accessible language, filled with love for one's neighbor and a desire to help him endure the sorrows of earthly life and be worthy of the Kingdom of Heaven.
