The Art of Programming. Numerical Algorithms. Volume 2

The second volume presents a complete introduction to the theory of numerical algorithms, with separate chapters dedicated to random numbers and arithmetic. The book provides the foundations of the theory of numerical algorithms, as well as their main examples. Thus, a strong link is established between computer programming and numerical analysis. Special mention should be made of the new interpretation of random number generators proposed by Knuth in this third edition, as well as the consideration of computation methods using formal power series.
