Barbarossa

Stalingrad — is not just a city on the Volga, a symbol of our victory. It is also the main military-political factor of World War II; its influence affected the entire course of human history. The heroic and tragic Battle of Stalingrad is dedicated to the novel-reflection «Barbarossa» — the first volume of the last unfinished duology «Square of Fallen Fighters». The novel has several plot lines. The main ones are the life of Field Marshal Friedrich Paulus, who was directly involved in the development of the plan to attack our country and subsequently found himself in Soviet captivity; issues related to the organization of the city's defense; the role of the highest leadership of the USSR in the defeat of the enemy. The author did not manage to write the second volume — health was undermined by years of overwork.
