«Holy Sinners. Scandalous» — a modern romance novel about the forbidden relationship between Trent Rexroth and Edi Van Der Zin, divided by family feuds, business interests, and the risk of a loud scandal. L. J. Shen builds the story on the clash of power, control, and stubbornness: he is used to keeping his feelings locked away, while she is not ready to tolerate coldness and other people's rules. The attraction between the characters is not the only focus; the tension surrounding reputation, power, and old conflicts also comes to the forefront. The genre combines a sensual romantic line, relationship drama, and the theme of «from hate to love».
At the center of the plot is Edi's father's business partner, a man considered tough and calculating. Edi Van Der Zin is the daughter of his long-time enemy, a bold and stubborn girl who is not afraid to go against the grain. Their connection appears dangerous from the very beginning: family feuds, shared business, and external expectations are too tightly intertwined. The stronger the attraction between them, the higher the price of a mistake. L. J. Shen connects the personal conflict of the characters with themes of trust, betrayal, and the struggle to cope with the past without delving into a retelling of further events.
