The Gospel of Mary

What lies behind the pages of the New Testament? Gospels that were not included in the Bible but were written in the same times — by contemporaries of the apostles or their closest disciples. The Church did not recognize them as canonical: it turned out to be too difficult to confirm their authenticity. However, these texts have been carefully preserved for centuries and have brought us amazing details about the childhood of Jesus, about Mary, about Joseph, about Mary Magdalene.

Among them is the famous «Gospel of Mary», which still sparks debates among researchers; «The Infancy Gospel», where the young Jesus performs his first miracles; «The Gospel of Nicodemus», which tells of Christ's descent into hell.
