Hear the Wind Song. Pinball 1973

During a baseball game, Haruki Murakami suddenly realized that he could write a book. Thus, the novel «Hear the Wind Song» was born, followed by – «Pinball 1973». These works became a prologue to the worldwide bestseller «A Wild Sheep Chase». «During the summer of 1970, Krys and I drank a 25-meter pool of beer and covered the floor of the "J's Bar" with a five-centimeter layer of peanut shells. If we hadn't done that, we simply wouldn't have survived; it was such a boring summer». Behind the facade of boredom hide ghosts: a vanished classmate, a deceased beloved, and a strange girl from the record store. In «Pinball 1973», reality becomes increasingly thin. The protagonist begins living with mysterious twins and becomes obsessed with finding an old pinball machine called «Rocket». He must undergo a surreal quest to find a way out of the labyrinth of memory.
