Velvet Pants. A Collection of Stories

VALERY VLADIMIROVICH ZELENOGORSKY (1949–2020) – a writer, producer, and art director of popular pop artists in the late 80s – early 90s of the last century, producer of tours of Western stars, including Elton John and Sting. He was a regular author for the magazine «Bear», where his stories were published, and for the newspaper «Moscow Komsomolets» – in the column «Critical Days» his feuilletons were published.

His name may not be widely known to the general public, but among connoisseurs of concise, precise, and remarkably rich prose, he has long become a figure close to classic. In his texts – almost surgical precision, unfailing sense of rhythm and intonation, the ability to tell a story in just a few paragraphs that is as impactful as a novel.

It includes unpublished stories from his lifetime, the best of the remaining ones.
