This book is a collection of philosophical works by two great thinkers of antiquity – Epictetus and Zeno of Citium. Zeno of Citium (c. 334-262 BC) was the founder of Stoicism, laying the foundation for a philosophical doctrine that advocates control over emotions, acceptance of fate, and spiritual development. Epictetus (c. 50-135 AD) was one of the outstanding theorists and practitioners of Stoic teaching in the Roman Empire, who supplemented it and expanded it to many aspects of our lives.
