Lightning Flowers

Seven years ago, school teacher Andy was struck by lightning — and she survived. But scars remain on her skin, resembling the branches of the mythical tree Yggdrasil. Since then, she has been tormented by flashes of light, memory gaps, and a feeling that something broke inside her that fateful day. To escape the bad weather, she moves to the dry and sunny desert of Arizona, hoping to leave the past behind.
It is then that bodies of women start to be found across the country, with the same traces of electrical discharge on their skin. The horrific patterns have been dubbed "lightning flowers" by journalists.
The investigation is taken over by former FBI agents Linnea Ren and Aidan Rio. The deeper they delve into the case, the more apparent it becomes: the killer does not choose his victims randomly. He is searching for survivors.
While the detectives try to calculate the murderer, Andy realizes: she is the next target.
