Lady Clara Fairfax, the envy of the season, rejecting one marriage proposal after another, suffers from not being engaged in anything useful in her life. Upon learning that a child is in trouble, she immediately rushes to rescue him and seeks help from a complicated lawyer… Oliver "Raven" Redford, known for his brilliant courtroom performances and disdain for high society, ironically finds himself in line to inherit a dukedom.
