Methodological Problems of the Theory of Thinking

The second book of the second volume of the series dedicated to the works of philosopher and methodologist Georgy Petrovich Shchedrovitsky.
This book includes previously unpublished reports by Shchedrovitsky on the methodological problems of constructing a scientific theory of thinking, as well as discussions of these reports in the Moscow methodological circle. The participants of the circle faced the challenging task of understanding how to describe and study thinking not as something self-evident, but as a special subject of scientific work. During this development, many questions arose. For example:

What is thinking — a process of acquiring new knowledge or a formalized reasoning?
What role do language and its sign forms play in the study of thinking?
Is it possible to construct a scientific theory of thinking? What is its object?
