Board Game - Ancient Horror

Inspired by the atmosphere and grandeur of "Arkham Horror," the developers created the board game "Ancient Horror," set in the same universe. "Ancient Horror" is a unique, engaging adventure board game designed specifically for fearless adventurers ready to challenge fate and the gods.

The year is 1926, and the world is on the brink of extinction... An ancient and powerful being is ready to awaken and cover the world as we know it in darkness. Portals are opening across the globe, from which various monsters emerge, and ancient cults rise from their knees. But a group of heroes emerges, willing to risk everything to prevent the impending horror. Fearless travelers set out across the world: from the snowy peaks of the Himalayas to the bustling streets of San Francisco, to gather clues, solve mysteries, defeat monsters, and protect the world from an otherworldly threat. Are you ready to join them and wager everything you hold dear for the salvation of this world?

"Ancient Horror" is a cooperative game for 1-8 players. Each player chooses one of twelve investigators, who differ in health, sanity, and five skills: knowledge, communication, attention, strength, and will. As they travel around the world, investigators solve mysteries, fall into traps, and fight monsters. Throughout the game, players will receive various useful items, find allies, artifacts, and spells.

Each round of the game consists of three phases:

• Action Phase, during which players move around the game board, purchase necessary items, allies, and various services, as well as tickets for ships and trains for faster travel across the world
• Contact Phase - during this phase, players engage in one of three contacts: combat, location, and token contact. Most often, a card is drawn for a specific type of contact, describing positive or negative events
• M Myth Phase - in which the lead player draws a Myth card and plays the effects of this card in the specified order. Each effect impacts your game in a unique way

To win, the group of investigators must solve three mysteries, unique to each Ancient. However, if the despair token reaches zero, the Ancient Evil awakens, and the investigators must fight it in open confrontation. If the players fail to defeat it, the world is engulfed in darkness, and all of humanity loses.
