Robert Louis Stevenson, like no one else, could turn dry historical events into incredible adventures, and present the fruits of his imagination as credible facts. Almost everything known about the pirates of the Caribbean Sea came from «Treasure Island». Stevenson is one of the few authors of adventure literature whose works are recognized as classics of English literature.
