The Legend of Tyl Ulenspiegel

16th century. The merry jester and singer Tyl Ulenspiegel, son of the hardworking coal miner Klaas, was expelled from his native Flanders for his free-thinking statements. And three years later, having managed to reach Rome and receive absolution from the Pope himself, he returns home. Learning that during this time his father was arrested on false charges of heresy and burned at the stake, Tyl joins the fighters for independence and embarks on a journey through Flanders - to help the wronged, punish the villains, and find someone who can defend the country from Spanish oppressors and their executioners.
