Scott Fitzgerald wrote his stories mainly for income, publishing them in the most prestigious newspapers and magazines of that era. But over time it became clear that among the one and a half hundred works of "small forms" created by the writer, there are quite a few true gems. Two very different stories presented in the book are similar in one way: their heroes will face many trials and obstacles on the path to long-awaited happiness. But it will surely come. Adapted (without simplifying the original text) using the teaching reading method of Ilya Frank. The uniqueness of the method lies in the fact that the memorization of words and expressions occurs through their repetition, without rote learning and the need to use a dictionary.
