Leid Livestone is the owner of a grocery store on the island of New Bangor. Creatures from Polynesian myths, medieval legends, and terrifying nightmares roam here, and the laws of logic are powerless. A normal person wouldn't last a year before losing their sanity, but Leid has lived here for twenty-five years. After finishing his trade, he locks up the store and... pulls out a revolver and bizarre amulets. He is a prisoner of New Bangor, but not a victim, rather a warrior: for a quarter of a century, he has waged a hopeless war against the island and its merciless master.
