Omon Ra

Omon Krivomazov dreamed of flying to the Moon since childhood. Together with his friend Mitka, he ends up in a secret space school under the first department of the KGB of the USSR. However, the dream will come at a cost. For the Moon is actually a mechanism that "feeds" on human lives.

"Omon Ra" has been described as a horror story about space, a satire on Soviet astronautics, and a philosophical parable in which Egyptian mythology merges with the mythology of the USSR. From the author's perspective, it is simply a story about how we grow up and begin to see the world as it is. And it will be because there is no one else.

The novel received two prestigious awards: "Interpresscon" and "Bronze Snail".
