Partitions of Poland and the Diplomacy of Catherine II

The book is the first monographic study of the partitions of Poland in 1772, 1793, and 1795 and the role of Russian diplomacy in them after the classical works of domestic historians of the 19th century. The partitions – the starting point of the Polish question, which remained at the center of European politics for one and a half centuries – are examined in the context of the formation of the system of international relations in Central and Eastern Europe.
