The World Beyond the Great Mist. The Monster of Carnohelma

Ennis Wilson leaves her ordinary life for a peaceful future: a home, family, and marriage to the kind baker Gudret. But the path beyond the Great Mist is interrupted by a kidnapping: the girl is taken away by a black högg, and instead of a wedding, she finds herself in Carnohelma, amidst ice, harsh customs, and constant threats. Here she must quickly learn to survive, navigate unfamiliar rules, and understand whom to trust. Alongside appears Ragnvald – a northern warrior with a reputation as a monster, a heavy past, and his own truth about the world of fjords. The story revolves around danger, inner choice, and a gradually changing attitude towards those who are initially easiest to fear.
