The Saga of Russian Argonauts. Heda. Hong Kong

Nikolai Pavlovich Zadornov (1909–1992) – a famous writer, author of historical novels depicting the exploration of Siberia and the Far East by Russian pioneers (the trilogy about Captain Nevelskoy, the novels "Amur-Father" and "Gold Rush"). To the later stage of N. P. Zadornov's creativity belongs a large cycle entitled "The Saga of Russian Argonauts," an exciting tale of an important expedition of Russian Admiral E. V. Putiatin to the shores of Japan. This edition includes the novels "Heda" and "Hong Kong," from which the reader will learn about the lives of the expedition members in Japan, where they had to build a new ship for the return journey (their ship was wrecked by a powerful tsunami). However, on their way to Russia, the sailors were intercepted by the British and found themselves as prisoners of war in Hong Kong, the largest trading port, at the center of the clash of interests of the most powerful world powers.
