Midnight

Star Brightheart always believed that her superpower was baking. Her cakes healed broken hearts, restored self-confidence, and brought hope. But when one of her desserts nearly sent the most despicable restaurant critic in the city to the grave, Star realized she urgently needed to escape.

The remote village of Midnight, where Star arrives, turns out to be full of surprises: in December, it’s summer weather, there’s a talking cat living in Star's house, and all the residents… are wizards. Star will have to figure herself out to understand why she feels at home in Midnight and why her heart starts racing at the sight of the charming yet annoying Mayor Wolf Oakwood. And then, perhaps, she will be able to write a new recipe for her life – a magical one.
