Fix the Moon

Zonya, a Jewish boy from Minsk, arrives with his brothers and sister at their grandparents' house in the town of Novogrudok, where they are caught by the war. The Germans enter the town, all the Jewish population is rounded up into the ghetto, sent to hard labor, and many are shot. Zonya meets the Belsky brothers, who are forming a partisan squad and consider their main task to be the salvation of the Jews. Zonya and his older brother join the Belsky partisan squad, while their grandmother, grandfather, and younger children remain in the ghetto, where they face death. The climax is a daring operation by the partisans – a mass escape of Jews from the ghetto, during which Zonya helps his relatives to escape.
