Mishneh Torah (Code of Maimonides). Book of Dedication

Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon (Maimonides, 1138–1204) — the greatest Jewish sage of the post-Talmudic era: legislator, philosopher, scholar, and physician. His code Mishneh Torah (“Repetition of the Teaching”), or Ha-Yad Ha-Chazakah, — one of the most important works of Jewish tradition. In the most extensive of his writings, Maimonides summarizes and systematizes the Talmudic tradition and presents the entirety of Jewish religious legislation — halakha — in an accessible form.
The seventh book of Mishneh Torah, “Dedication,” includes “Laws of Oaths,” “Laws of Vows,” “Laws of Nazirite,” “Laws of Devoting Value,” and “Laws of Devoting with Cherem.” It is published in Russian for the first time in full, in an accurate modern translation and with detailed comments.
