Blessing and Peace. Answers from the Rebbe to Letters from Women

This is far from the first anthology of letters from the Rebbe published in Russian, but it covers a much broader thematic spectrum compared to previous ones. Among the tens of thousands of people who wrote to Rabbi M.-M. Schneerson, there were many women, and none of these letters went unanswered: the Rebbe replied to each of his correspondents, invariably starting his letters with the words: “Blessing and peace.” The correspondence of the Rebbe with women was not limited to problems traditionally considered solely feminine; the Rebbe discussed the most pressing religious, philosophical, and social issues: faith and disbelief, Torah and science, the purpose of man in this world. Therefore, the new collection will be of interest not only to women but to anyone who is attracted to Judaism, Hasidism, Jewish history, and/or the personality of one of the most prominent and extraordinary Jewish leaders of the last century.
