Harper lives in a small beach town and guards old man Arthur's house from annoying tourists. Those who do not wish to leave peacefully face a fate of compost — no wonder Harper wins local gardening competitions.

One day in Bleak Cape, Nolan appears — a person who is hard to call an ordinary tourist. Devilishly attractive and dangerously cunning, he wields a blade with mastery and is obsessed with only one thing: revenge.

Suddenly, both Harper's and Nolan's plans are threatened by a dilettante true-crime researcher hot on the trail of a serial killer. Fearing exposure, the sweet couple makes a dangerous deal.
