«Anton Rubinstein. Sound Artist» — the first book of the publishing program of the Anton Rubinstein Heritage Center and at the same time an invitation to hear the composer himself — his voice, intonation, doubts, pathos, and irony. This volume collects autobiographical stories and memories, public statements by Rubinstein about music, lecture texts, and materials on how his contemporaries saw and described his phenomenon.

The book includes «Course of Lectures on the History of Piano Music», recorded by César Cui. The scale of Rubinstein's thinking is clearly visible — the ability to connect eras, analyze styles, and explain what makes music alive and significant.
