Bread with Ham

Little Henry lives in a poor neighborhood. At school, he is bullied. His father occasionally takes out the belt, and his mother remains silent and does not try to protect her son. To escape the cruelty and injustice of the adult world, Henry runs away into the literary worlds of Turgenev, Dostoevsky, and other writers. However, alcohol turns out to be much more effective. With it, life becomes bearable, and fighting and taking a hit to the gut isn’t so painful.
