The Mystery of the Bloody Countess

Urban legend No. 5: ghosts and mysticism in the old theater.

Investigator Artyom is sent on forced leave, and he agrees to give lectures on profiling. After the first class, a strange woman approaches him and calmly informs him: she is going to commit a murder. And then Artyom falls asleep. All he remembers about the stranger: a bright blue scarf on her shoulders.

He is told that he saw a ghost — an actress who disappeared nearly a hundred years ago. According to urban legend, she appears before law enforcement representatives shortly before a series of brutal murders.

And the next morning, a body is indeed found in the city, along with a blue scarf. The very same one.

The investigation leads Artyom to archives, the old theater, forgotten cults and rituals where beauty and immortality are bought with blood. But the closer he gets to the solution, the clearer it becomes: behind the legend stands a living person. And their motive is far more frightening than any ghost.
