Turgenev. Mumu

Ivan Sergeyevich Turgenev — a classic of Russian literature and one of the main writers of the 19th century. Several of his works are included in the mandatory school curriculum.
«Mumu» — a story written in 1852. It is based on a real event that took place in the Moscow home of Turgenev's mother. The events of the work unfold before the abolition of serfdom and raise questions of humanism, human nature, and individual freedom. The story has been adapted for film multiple times and has not left the theatrical stage for several decades.
