Absolutely everyone knows what happened on January 27, 1837, near the Black River on the outskirts of St. Petersburg: a native of France, an officer of the Cuirassier Regiment, Georg Karl de Heeckeren, better known as Dantes, fatally wounded Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, the most famous poet of the Russian Empire, with a premature shot. The cause of the duel was Dantes' courtship of Natalia, Pushkin's wife. But what if everything was not quite that way, and the duel was scripted in advance? But by whom?..
