Myths of Ancient Greece

The myths and legends of Ancient Greece will tell you about the structure of the world as the ancient Greeks saw it, about the wisdom they possessed in those distant years. From the first part — "The Gods" — you will learn where the titans and giants came from and why Zeus the Olympian fights against them, how Zeus' brother, the god of the sea Poseidon, lives in the depths of the ocean in a beautiful palace, and deep underground is another brother of Zeus, the grim Hades. You will read the story of the birth of Zeus' daughter — Athena Pallas, the patroness of heroes, and the god of light — the beautiful Apollo, and learn the names of all his lovely muses.

"The Twelve Labors of Hercules" tells of the son of Zeus — the mighty Hercules, who performed feats while serving the Mycenaean king Eurystheus to atone for his sins and gain immortality.
