In Mestchekovsk, girls begin to disappear without a trace. A sinister mist creeps through the streets, and residents increasingly encounter beings from the otherworld. An employee of the local polimagics takes on the investigation and tries to understand whether these incidents are connected. Help arrives in the form of specialist Maximus Lars — an experienced mage with methods that provoke both irritation and interest in her. Together they have to sort through the strange events, the city's secrets, and the traces of the past. The story features a detective line, magical threats, and romantic tension that develops against the backdrop of the overall investigation.
