The Call of Cthulhu

"Edgar Poe of the 20th century", after his death acquiring many literary successors, among whom are Stephen King and Neil Gaiman, — during his lifetime Lovecraft was virtually unknown. His cult work "The Call of Cthulhu" was born in a period of despair, need, and failure — from the nightmares that haunted the writer since childhood.

Francis Thurston discovers in the belongings of a deceased relative a bas-relief depicting a mysterious creature. The search for answers leads him to a cult of an ancient god, sleeping in the depths of the Pacific Ocean… Who is it? And what will happen if it awakens from sleep?
