Five Quarters of the Orange

Joanne Harris became famous after the publication of the novel «Chocolat». The book «Five Quarters of the Orange» is a new journey into Harris's literary worlds.

From her mother, Framboise inherited an album of culinary recipes — not much, considering that her brother Cassis received the farm, and her older sister Ren-Claude got the wine cellar with all its contents. But the whole trick is that in the margins of the album, next to the recipes of various dishes and herbal remedies, her mother wrote her thoughts and confessions about certain events in her life — in other words, she kept a kind of diary. And in this diary, Framboise tries to find answers to the dark mysteries of the past.
