Golden-Winged Beetle

Choi Dong-ho is a renowned Korean poet and literary critic, laureate of numerous literary awards, author of the poetry collections "Dusty Wind" (1976), "Morning at the Writing Desk" (1988), "Where Does the Woodpecker Hide?" (1995), "Dharma Playing Ball" (2002), "Golden-Winged Beetle" (2009), "Icy Face" (2011), and "Sea in a Bottle" (2013). The collection "Golden-Winged Beetle" includes 50 selected poems; in this edition, they are presented in both Russian and Korean. Historicism and realism are characteristic features of "Golden-Winged Beetle": through vivid and concise images, Choi Dong-ho shows the reader both his spiritual path and the spiritual-historical path of the entire Korean people, introducing us to important stages in the development of Korea.
