Monstrum

For ages, lumen-protectors have guarded the Light, standing between Darkness and human souls.

Maximus, a young protector, wakes up with gaps in his memory. He remembers neither his past nor even his own name.
And certainly, he does not remember how he betrayed the Light. For the most terrible of crimes — collusion with Darkness — his comrades condemn Maximus to execution. Meanwhile, something is going wrong with the protector's soul: it turns out that a shard of a foreign soul has settled in it, and Maximus has developed abilities unavailable to an ordinary protector.

And then he escapes to uncover the truth and remember a world full of living celestial bodies, dark monsters, and silver. A world where Earth is just dust on the map of a war-torn Universe.
