The Fog of Aniva

Fifty years ago, two keepers disappeared without a trace at the Aniva lighthouse in Sakhalin. Last year, a historian from Irkutsk shared their fate. A month ago, a young archaeologist named Pavel from the antique shop "Isida" attempted to uncover the mystery of the doomed lighthouse and also vanished. Now, his girlfriend Sonya is flying to southern Sakhalin. To find Pavel, she must figure out why Aniva was built on a lifeless sea cliff and, most importantly, how the lighthouse's history is connected to the frightening myths of the Eskimos and the fantastic tales of American whalers. The further Sonya follows Pasha's trail, the more suspicious the happenings around her become, the boundary between reality and fog blurs, and Sonya increasingly feels that in reality, she is walking in her own footsteps.
The new mystical novel by Evgeny Rudashevsky continues his adventurous series "Archive of Isida" ("The Mystery of the Missing Expedition," "The City of the Sun," "The Idol"). Nevertheless, "The Fog of Aniva" remains a self-contained work, reading which does not require familiarity with other books in the series.
