Rin from the Mountain without Shadow

Two delightful magical stories about how miracles can await at every turn!

The girl Rin lives with her grandmother on the Mountain without Shadow. One day, her grandmother sings her a song about three sources of light that shine only on the night of the lunar festival. Long ago, her mother went to one of them and disappeared, and since then this source has turned into a terrifying swamp, exuding shadow. Grandmother asks the girl never to go to this swamp, but Rin sets off anyway. In the swamp, she meets her mother, who sacrificed herself to keep the shadow at bay and cannot break free. Now the girl must find all three sources of light so that darkness does not engulf the mountain and her mother can return home.

The second story is about a boy named Sota, who lives in a poor village near the Mountain of Shadow. A year of poor harvest comes, and in an attempt to save the village, young Sota goes in search of Rin, so she can help find the White Treasure hidden on the Mountain of Shadow. The kids do not know where to start their search, and only the Fox Rock can lead them on the right path.
