The edition includes two authorial collections by Bertrand Russell: "Unpopular Essays" and "Philosophical Essays". "Unpopular Essays", addressing a wide range of issues, were written shortly after the end of World War II, when the question arose: how to prevent the repetition of a tragedy on a planetary scale? Russell, convinced that the prevailing philosophical currents in society determine the politics and militaristic ambitions of the state, attempted to outline in his essays a path to restructuring the world through a change in the philosophy that defines the political paradigm and the lives of ordinary citizens. In the second part of the collection, the author offers the reader an original philosophical perspective on the ethical code of rules, conducts a multifaceted comparative analysis of different approaches to understanding truth, and reflects on science, history, and pragmatism.
