Attention! This is an expansion. You will need the base version "Evergreen (Green World)" to play.
«Evergreen. Pines and Cacti» — a modular expansion to the board game Evergreen, adding two new types of plants to the ecosystem with unique interactions of light and shadow. The author of the game is Hjalmar Hach. The expansion requires the base game Evergreen.
Inside the box, there are two new modules:
Pines — special trees that love the shade and can only grow in shaded areas;
Cacti — plants that thrive in the sun but perish without sufficient light.
The new mechanics significantly change the strategy for developing the forest. Now players need to consider not only the acquisition of light but also how to skillfully use the shade: pines gain advantages in shaded areas, while cacti require constant access to sunlight. This makes the games more diverse and tactically rich.
Each module adds a new ability and can be used separately or together with other expansions in the Evergreen series. This allows for flexible game adjustments and the creation of new strategy combinations.
The expansion maintains the signature style of Evergreen — minimalist design, atmospheric natural themes, and beautiful wooden components that make the gameplay especially visually pleasing.
