A tragic accident forever deprives Ulyana of family, home, and friends.

Now she wanders through communal apartments in the Moscow region, spends evenings in the carriages of electric trains, and suffers from loneliness. 

She has no future, but she possesses a terrible gift: she can see someone else's death in the gaze of anyone she meets on her path. 

Is it a curse or a disease? There is no answer. There is only the smell of bitter wormwood and visions that drive her to madness. To rid herself of them, Ulyana is ready to do anything. Even to engage in a dangerous game of survival.
