Vendetta. The Story of a Forgotten One

1884, Naples is struck by a cholera epidemic. Count Fabio Romani lives in a happy marriage with his beautiful wife Nina in a magnificent villa among orange groves. One morning, while strolling by the harbor, he suddenly falls into a coma for unknown reasons, but those around him believe he has also died of cholera. After some time, Fabio wakes up in a coffin, in the family crypt of the Romani family. He manages to escape from the crypt, and he hurries home to his wife and son. But instead of a warm welcome, he accidentally overhears a conversation between Nina and his friend Guido, who turn out to be not mourning him at all, but rather rejoicing that he is dead, as he will no longer interfere with their affair. Fabio's heart is broken, and he decides to take revenge on them and goes into hiding. Six months later, a mysterious Count Cesare Oliva appears in society — an influential and attractive man, evoking admiration and curiosity...
