The Divided House

Wang Yuan does not aspire to follow in the footsteps of his father, the famous general known as the Tiger; he enjoys living and working the land as his grandfather did. However, fate has other plans: the young man is destined to flee to the West. Six years, full of trials and discoveries, will pass in foreign lands, and upon returning to his native China, he will confront upheavals affecting not only the country but also his family. Wang Yuan will find himself caught in a whirlpool of contradictions, where Western and Eastern cultures clash, along with traditional values and modern ideas, as well as the ideologies of different generations. He will have to learn to live in a new reality and understand that the world is not divided into black and white, but is filled with numerous shades of gray, where true feelings and complex fates are hidden.
