Vietnamese Tales

This publication contains eleven wonderful Vietnamese tales. They will tell readers about ancient times when the Vietnamese people fought against the oppression of Chinese emperors, and legends were made about the bravery of glorious warriors.

In that distant era, dragons lived in the waters, and the Golden Turtle shared its wisdom with the people.

The texts were translated into Russian by Sergey Yuryevich Afonkin (1957).

Bright colorful illustrations for the tales were created by the honored artist Nikolai Mikhailovich Kocherhin (1897–1974).
