Binding Psychotherapy: Pregnancy and Childbirth

Professor Karl Brisch, a psychiatrist, psychotherapist, and researcher of attachment theory, was the first to demonstrate in practice how John Bowlby's theory can be applied in counseling and psychotherapy. He named this direction binding psychotherapy – an approach that can serve as an independent or supplementary tool in the work of specialists.

The book "Pregnancy and Childbirth" is dedicated to the development of attachment from the moment of conception, throughout pregnancy, during, and immediately after childbirth.

This volume examines in detail the issues that may arise during these periods and describes methods of psychotherapeutic assistance for expectant parents.
