In the labyrinths of the developing brain. Codes and ciphers of neuropsychology

The human brain is a mystery guarded by seven seals. What happens in its labyrinths? Is it possible to comprehend the unimaginably complex patterns of its functioning? The author believes that the key to understanding the laws of brain operation, and consequently the laws of human psychological development, lies in neuropsychology - the science of the brain's organization of mental activity in both normal and pathological states, founded by the outstanding domestic scientist A.R. Luria. The author introduces the reader to the main paradigms, conceptual field, and principles of this science. The emphasis is placed on the problems of early ontogenesis; however, the conclusions are applicable to the problems of development (personal and professional) in general.
