"The Three Fat Men" – a fairy tale about a country where power and wealth are concentrated in the hands of three powerful rulers – the Fat Men. They are opposed by the common people who dream of justice and freedom. The central plot revolves around a crafty tightrope walker Tibul, a gunsmith Prospero, and a circus acrobat Suok, who raise a rebellion to overthrow the Fat Men and restore justice.
The book also includes the novel "Envy" – a drama about an intellectual who becomes a "superfluous man" in post-revolutionary Russia.
