It would seem, a wedding of a beloved daughter – what could be better? Finally, the time has come to live for oneself, for pleasure, – thought the main character. The child has grown up, the husband is faithful, there are no loans, the job is great, the health is good – beauty. But who could have thought that from this moment on, Rita's life would collapse like a house of cards? The mysterious departure of her husband, an online divorce, a daughter who has turned into a harsh controller, imposing on her mother “how to live.” And a complete realization that she is anyone: a mother, a service staff, an elderly person, but not a woman who can be loved...

Elena loves to experiment and does not limit herself to just one – romantic – genre. Each time, creating a new story, she looks at her characters' lives as a researcher: why did they end up in such a situation? Where would they like to be – where a person decides for themselves how to live, love, and take care of their health, or where freedom is available only to a few? Her characters invariably try to understand the reasons for their failures in order to find answers and get closer to happiness.
