Emilio Salgari (1862–1911) — a renowned writer, whom his contemporaries called the "Italian Jules Verne", created about two hundred novels and stories. Among these numerous works, sparkling with vivid imagination and captivating plots, two pirate cycles gained the most popularity: "The Antillean Pirates" — about the adventures of the Black Corsair and his faithful followers, as well as a series of novels under the general title "Pirates of Malaysia" — about the great and terrible pirate Sandokan. However, the Tiger of Malaysia, whose heinous deeds make the heavens tremble, is actually an ordinary man whose heart is capable of true, pure love.
This edition includes three novels by Emilio Salgari: "Secrets of the Black Jungle", "The Pearl of Labuan", and "Pirates of Malaysia", in which the reader can expect incredible adventures. These works formed the basis for the popular series "Sandokan, Prince of Pirates", which aired in 2025. The texts are accompanied by a complete set of illustrations by Italian artists Pipeina Gamba and Carlo Linsagi.
